WHISTLER 3600 REMOTE MOUNT RADAR DETECTOR

I was recently able to test drive the Whistler 3600 Remote Mount Radar Detector. I found it to very pleasing on the eyes inside and out. There where several pros and cons to the unit that I would like to touch on.

Pros
* PRICE
* Easy Install...By this I mean it took me less then an hour to install the whole unit in my car. This included the Radar Antenna, GPS Module, Remote Speaker, Display, and the Control Unit.
* The display was easy to read in most light conditions in my opinion.
* The different features are more then any radar detector user could ever want.

4)Directional Voice Alerts
5)Horizontal and Vertical mounting option for the display.
6)KA Max Mode with Voice Announcement of the Radar Bands not just number display.
7)LSID-This feature shows you the Pulse Rate of a Laser Gun being used against you.
8)Ability to lock out false Laser signals.
9)GPS for Red-Light Cameras
There are many more feature that I did not use so can comment on them but these are a few I enjoyed.

Cons
* Voice is very low. I had mounted near my head but found it hard to hear with window down or radio on.
* Mounting Low is not an option as it dramatically cuts down on reception of radar signal.
* GPS Red-Light Camera Alerts are received when on a parallel road or a interstate passing over a road with a camera.

Overall it is a GREAT detector for someone who wants a remote mount with GPS and wants to go light on the wallet. The detection is on par with the Pro series detectors in my opinion.
